If you got caught, do you think it would be unfair for the person whose lock you were picking to hurt you?

This almost happened to me, someone was trying to pick a lock to my old house and I came out with a hammer we had in the house, and the kid threatened to press charges on me. WTF.

Heheh No I dont think the vast majority would use lockpicking for theft (i hope not anyways) but I dont think it would be un reasonable at all

WTF!!!???? Lol! Well Dont take heed to watever they say: If they think you'll do it, they'll react as if you were going to do it. That can often work to your advantage. I dont think there's any laws against scaring the shit outa trespassers, and sure if they make an act of violence against you in 'defence', you've got yourself a nice little courtcase

Perfect example:
A few months ago, some 'member of the travelling community' Was tresspassing on some farmers land and stuff... And the farmer shot him with a shotgun, and killed him... The farmer had no charges against him....
I believe it is perfectly fair if you are trying to break into someones house and they seriously hurt you!
