Sure I'd buy a fridge too.. But not if you can get your hands on a free freezer (If not a fridge)

Anyway a freezer is just a really good fridge...

I dont see why I would be throwing away freezers? If anything I would be buying more.
A freezer is a really good fridge, but for this application, it is TOO good.

Ah! I mean if your family or anyone you know is throwing away an old freezer or fridge they don't want anymore! (Did you not recently just throw away a perfectly working old microwave?? Same story!)

Gah!!!!!! I've just been explaining how you don't need to use the freezers full potential power!!
Simply adjusting the temperature settings can easily turn a freezer into a fridge. Just because the temp knob doesn't go >-10C doesn't mean it cant be modified easily to maintain a temp higher than that efficiently.
People buy big SUV's or ORV's just to drive to work in the morning. It doesn't mean they cant do it as efficiently as a little hatchback because they're more powerful. (Bad example as of the increased petrol consumption but imagine you're replacing the large vehicles engine with a little shitty one..)
i.e. It Not "TOO" Good!!! It can be made SHITTY!! ;D you're just simply not unleashing its full power..

Edit: And if the old freezer or fridge someone might be throwing away is being thrown out as it does chill as well as it used too then there's even more reason to prefer a freezer.

Im not going to go to the trouble of modifying the electronics when I can get a fridge for €40! You can remain adamant on how easy it will be... But im not going to do it.
I threw away a perfectly working microwave, about half a year ago. I kept it for about 3 months, and had no use for it, so I got rid of it.

Ok ok. I'm suggesting there might be people you know who do likewise (Cannot find a use for an old fridge freezer and want to throw it away).
Well I guess then thats where we're different I'd rather spend <€2 than €40 should the opportunity arise. I'm afraid my knowledge in electronics requires I remain adamant .
Say, I'm thinking we should really get back on topic... That link you gave had some good recipies alright. Would you be able to post the link on the process's involved?

*Waves Harry Potters magic "Back on Topic" wand*
I have searched for a while for good procedures as opposed to recipes, but alas, they are hard to come by. Majority I have come across are the anarchists cookbook equivilant of brewing i.e "Mix this and that and put it in a bottle for 2 months! This stuff is stronger than vodka! There is around 50% alcohol in it!!" etc. etc.
I think I am going to resort to buying an entire book devoted to it off amazon. There is a few I have been looking at.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Complete-Hom...6269829&sr=8-1
I have heard good things about that one from someone that read it.

Oh, I literally just bought Homebrewing for dummies off amazon. I got it for £0.33
