I just want to know what everyone on here is reading, just say the name of the book, tell me a little about it. I am currently reading Stephen King's The Tommyknockers. It's about this little town in Maine that is being taken over by aliens. The minds of the townspeople are slowly losing control of their minds to these aliens that they call Tommyknockers. Over the last several months I've read alot of Stephen King's books, and I'm running out of them. So post here and give me something new to read.

Ok, one book is Thief Of Time.. Terry Pratchett is amazing, folks! It's a fantasy story about a clock that will stop time, but I must say it's some of the best stuff I've ever read! It's quite philosophical too .
The other is Hacking: The Art Of Exploitation. Read the thread "Ask and Ye shall receive...." about why! There's a link to the whole book and CD there, along with a decent description!
Other than that, it could be whatever I'm in the mood for! I'd randomly pick up books that I see around my room and read away

I am reading a good bit of Heny David Thoreau's stuff, Some amazing writing in my opinion. Currently I am reading Walden by him and the Lights Out fiction book I mentioned in Survival.

Currently I'm studying the works of the Nineteenth Century French author - Guy De Maupassant. Particularly his short stories which some of them are absoloutely fantastic and brilliantly writtren although some of the Online Translation is a bit off.

The best part is De Maupassant's works are absoloutely free and are easily available online!

All of the short stories are available in a Text File Here.

On Stephen King the only thing I read of his was 'Different Seasons' in my local Library.

Just like me, the last books I have read are Dreamcathcer, The Green Mile, Dolores Claiborne, and Carrie.
Stephen King is my new bitch. I want to read The Shining and It.

Ah the green mile is a fantastic read, as is the shining. BTW, did you guys know there were two different "The Shining" films made? One was directed/written by stanely kubrick in 1980 (the classic Jack Nicholson film), but then stephen king wrote/directed the 1997 version himself. They both have very different endings/stories and I would recommend they both be watched, but watch the 1997 first. It's clear that king is a novelist, and not
a screenplay writer...

As for me, I don't read fiction material/novels that often, but I recently started on "Starship Troopers" by Robert Heinlein.
