What Languages Do You Speak?

The title's fairly self-explanatory.

The purpose of this is for translation assistance. I know many of y'all are based in the British Isles... but somehow I have this idea in my head that Europeans speak more than one language fairly fluently.

If you are interested in helping with translations, please make note of this when you reply. (Not being willing shouldn't preclude you from replying; I'm sure we're all interested in your languages skills anyway.)

Anyway, I'm an American, so I only speak one language. :\

In school I was taught French, didn't learn a word of it though as I didn't want to learn it. I wanted to do German instead but I had to do French wether I liked it or not.

I am being thought French too. But I am terrible at it. I am also thought Irish, not great at that either.

Alas, I'd like to speak French fluently but, akin to Syrus, I don't have that much motivation to actually go learn it. However I've taken/am taking numerous grinds so as to allow me pass the subject, should I need a continental language for future education. Man do I hate Irish... If its such a part of our heritage etc. Then why not rear us speaking it?? Give us a god damn language and leave us stick to it.. OR at least let us choose which we'd prefer to learn rather than making it a compulsory subject :@ Otherwise, from my experience it's taught SHOCKINGLY in this region. Although I have to admit, my primary school was the worst.. I came to secondary school with a distinct disadvantage in the language.
Well for the summer my father saw fit to try in his own way to 'keep my brain active' and proceeded to force me to take a crash course in Mandarin...

I speak Irish fluently. I speak a bit of French not much as I do not take it anymore....

I speak English and some random phrases if I can remember them. I would like to learn a foreign language, but once I start I usually lose interest.
