Senior year in highschool, I've chosen Funcstions, statistics, and trig (for math), Advanced Placement Chemistry, Welding, English, Fine arts (I play the trombone).
Many of you guys are from across the pond, so you may not know the full extent of the "No Child Left Behind" Act that Bush thought would be a great thing to enact. It basically purposely slows down the intelligent students so that the retards can keep up. This means that America's general curriculum is a little substandard, or lower than it should be in my opinion. However this is exacerbated within my school and the curriculum is piss poor because half the school is rednecks with their thumbs up their butts and a finger in their nose asking how to spell 'the'. The idiocy is propagated through the less than incompetent staff. They keep me out of the higher classes because I don't turn in my homework, yet my test scores are ridiculous. In fact, my final average of my test scores in my last math class was 102%. My homework was around a 34%. I tried to explain to them over the past four years that if I was learning something new, or something above common sense, I would be motivated to do my homework. The administration still wont let me go into a higher class. My chemistry teacher had to personally recommend me for advanced placement. Otherwise I'd be SOL. I could go on, but it would stray from academics and transition to general illogical rules and punishments, which is not what this specific thread is about ![]() Sorry to somewhat hijack the thread mates, but I had to let off some steam. I can't wait to get out of there and do some real learning. The main purpose of that was to explain why I'm in a lower (relatively) math class than I feel I should be. While most seniors attend FST, I'd prefer to take something more challenging. Can't with them all I guess.

Ah.. lol. There's about 200 or so! lol. Vectors, linear motion, probably something else and relative velocity.. I need to revise vectors and shit. Its applies a lot to the stuff (even just theory in the chapter) in relative velocity..
It's a nice subject to have though! Hold on.. You're doing applied maths and LCVP.. Ya cant do that in our school! . We do applied maths instead of a study class. We pick 4 subjects, and then LCVP and applied maths are optional.

Thats shitty. LCVP is great, easy 70 points
(Is it 70 or 60? I can never remember)See I come from a little Corkonian school, biggest school in Cork I know of has just over 1000 pupils

Back during the Leaving Cert I di English, Irish, Maths, French, Chemistry, Biology and Physics. Only Irish was pass (because who cares about Irish?).
In college nowadays I'm doing a BSc in Genetics. First year is retarded because we share all modules except one with BioChem, so the modules I'm doing are Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Maths and Introduction to Genetics. They have proper names too (like "Cells and Biomolecules") but I can't remember them. The downside it that they're boring and useless (save Introduction to Genetics, probably). The upside is that I can basically take the year off, because nothing important will be covered and I did all the courses already for the Leaving.
