Can anyone give me some advice on getting kno3 in Ireland? Or a phone number of a place that will ship Kno3 around ireland, or if anyone knows a place in the south east that sells it, i've tried numerous fertiliser places for nitrate of potash to no avail.
Could someone tell me of the classic NK fertiliser under the richland heading would be usable as kno3? http://www.gouldings.ie/products_product_range.htm Last edited by ouiskipoiski; 22-03-2006 at 06:35 PM. |

Ive told you...many times....Ive been searching the South-East for nearly two years...all I've found was from goldencrop, on the marina in Cork city... they sell in......1 tonne minimum amounts...apart from that...nowhere... If you are really desperate, produce your own, you just need to find potassium hydroxide (KOH)...Its the electrolyte in some batteries.
It would work something like this: KOH+NH4NO3--->KNO3+H20+NH3 I trust you can get NH4NO3? |

Well i've only seen potassium hydrox once in some keg cleaner in my friends house but they got it using a business card. Ammonium nitrate i have no shortage of. On www.nad.ie they have kno3 in 25kg bags. but is that a no on the fertilizer on the gouliding sites? Classic NK= 20-0-15
