Annoying Restricted Calls

Does anyone get annoying Restricted calls and they won't stop calling you no matter what you say?

Is there anyway of avoiding this? My carrier said that they don't block restricted calls and they can't do anything else about it.

My family used to have an answer machine that would play the message out live when someone was leaving it, so we'd let it go to the answer machine, and then decide whether to pick up or not...

heh heh heh. Tele-sales? Funniest thing in the world, should me'fathr be around. He decided that should they ever ring him again, he'd put on an Irish bogger accent and REFUSE to consider their product unless they were willing to buy a batch of his homegrown irish potatoes. After 5minutes of conversation and repeated descriptions of our fine irish crop, they usually get the picture. Of course its then stated that we value our privacy and ask politely for them to remove our number from their phone list.. They never do.. So more amusement for us..

That's funny Nme! For me actually, it's a mobile (cellular) phone and when I answer, the timer reaches 5 seconds and immediately the other end is hung up. No reply or anything to what I say. I'm thinking it's a bot that is trying to waste my minutes in some slow fashion. It may not seem much of a big deal, but when they call all day, then it starts to really piss me off.

That sucks that you have to deal with that. Even sucks more that you can't really get a number to trace back and harass them.

I guess you could social engineer it out of them next time they call? Then ask to speak to a supervisor and tell them that a worker sexually harassed you and you will seek litigation? I don't know. Scare the shit out of someone with power there and they might do something, at least take your name of the list I would assume.
