help with SP2

hello. I don´t know if this is the right place for this question, but here it goes.

I tried to install service pack 2 for windows XP, but it says that my windows isn´t genuine, and it doesn´t let me install. yes, I know it´s not genuine, but im sure there´s a way to install sp2. Can anyone tell me what should I do

You will need an activation code. If you know anyone in college, ask them if they provide software and then ask for the educational activation key for Xp. I unlocked Vista this way using a key for LSU students.

Yea. Find someone elses key, or call Microsoft telling them a load of rubbish about how your software is genuine.

Alternatively, download a better pirate copy off of what ever network takes your choice.

This is unfortunately the price you pay for piracy, occasionally you get a duff copy and you can't whine to anyone except yourself. I got a good copy of XP the first time round. Search around for the calamari edition.

Like Fallen said, its the chance you take.
I got a very good version of Windows Professional SP2. It was the BARE MINIMUM Installation, basically meaning that all the games, accessories etc. have been scrapped.
You really notice, Performance wise, when switching back to a traditional, Genuine version of Windows, and just how slow it runs, compared to my Modified Installation. I have had it Installed around the 6 month mark now, and have NEVER had a problem with it.
