Default Op-Amps

For Discussion of and about. Uses etc.
In my experience I've found these a very commonly used and interesting aspect of electronics. Commonly used in analyctic sciences as its use in making amplifiers to record small signal outputs etc with a virtually infinite gain. But of course it has many other uses. Here a link to a list of such uses and interesting circuits containing them:

Quite a few useful circuits in there.

HELL NO!

NE555 is not an op-amp, would be a timer chip.

The 8 pin DIP is a common chip package.

Digikey lists 4,528 different 8 pin DIP chips.
