I think he was right to jam signals it being his resteraunt and all, I have seen some schematics on making jammers and I don't see them as being too difficult to construct.

Well under FCC and the UK laws they are illegal. So yes, he could get a $11,000 fine, and rightly so, read the laws!

As for their general use they're becoming a very popular topic, I've noticed, as of late.

Now I like the idea of an enforced silence zone, however it is complicated as it may affect those outside your intended area, or even block important signals.

I know most ambulances/emergency services use completely different frequencies, but if jammers were prevalent it would only take someone with the knowledge to change the affected frequencies. I know it's possible now, hell I have the WaveBubble (a mobile phone jammer) schematics and fully intend on getting it made up, and should i want to I could convert it to block any band of frequencies. But I still have to make it, which will cost about £300 right now

However their relative scarcity means that spots of no signal are very rare.

I just think it's badass he went that far to get rid of cell phone calls.
