Ok so heres the deal, i am looking into making a light shocking device (under 15 volts) aka Tazer.
I searched google but it came up with nothing. To my disposal i have >Batterys >Wire > and A copper coil any tutorials? Remember, i want to make a LIGHT shocking device that can be used for shocking other people for fun! Thanks EM

A disposable camera, with the flash! I have no idea how to do it though. Someone explained it to me before, but I can't remember any of the details..

Hmm, this is just a guess, but try a capacitor. I don't know too much on the topic to be honest, I no longer do engineering and I don't know if it'll come up on physics.. Get it full of electricity and touch someone!

Lol you won't get a shock with 15v. it's like holding 2 pp3 9v batters on your skin you'll feel nothing. The skins dielectric constant is far to high to be anything "shocking" until you get in the 1000s of Volts. You HAVE to keep the amps low, like 1microamp. Look for stungun/tazer on this site, I posted up a like very recently. They use 15kV which is the general standard.
Oh and by the way, make one of these, okay, use one of these, and you'll be sued 7 ways until Sunday... Even if you're running around butt naked in the shanty towns in Johannesburg. Last edited by TheFallen; 07-01-2008 at 11:44 PM. |

The voltage, my friend, is not the issue. Men have been hit with over 100,000 volts and lived, yet others have been hit with 3 and died. Its not voltage that will kill you. It's amperage. Think of it this way. Voltage is how big your fist is, and amperage is how fast you can throw it. If you have a massive fist but are slow as hell, it is not a problem. Even a 1 volt charge that hits with 80 or 90 amps can kill you. Some disposable camera capacitors have nearly 200 volts pent up in those things, but they only hit with 9 or 10 amps, so it's OK.
