You can also get a BBQ igniter. Push the button and it releases a pulse of electricity. Stings a bit.

I have a coil from a shock pen, but I want to know how to connect the wires (what goes were to create a shocking current).
I connected a 3v battery to the one end of the copper coil wire but I dont feel a current going through. What am I doing wrong?

Hmm, does it still work with the old battery? Why not just go with the camera one! It's fun, and creative.. I'm sure you could attach a long wire and put it on someones chair...

I don't want to buy a camera when I can build it with material I have.
I did it with the old and new battery and it still doesn't work! Does the wire color play a factor in this? Also where at the coil do i connect the wires, both battery wires at the one point, in on each side?

I need to know what you have so I can try and build you a circuit diagram. Although if you read some websites about tasers, how they work then you should be able to figure out how to make a taser, they are a simple electronic device.
