Windows XP or Vista?

Which do you prefer? Windows XP or Windows Vista?
I prefer XP, as although I have had not much experience with Vista, I have not had an enjoyable experience with it! I am no stranger to computers, and certainly not to windows, but vista baffles me.. It's not as straight-forward as the others!

I voted XP, because there aren´t has many incompability problems has with vista, and yes, it also confuses me a little bit, bu my brother is using Vista and he says it´s better by far. But in like, 6 months, i´ll vote Vista, because everything will be set to vista.

Aye, that's true. Games, everything will be built for it. It's sickening, as my current desktop is a load of SHITE, and would blow up if I tried to install Vista onto it.. 450Mhz, 8GB hard disk space, 320MB RAM, Oh dear god.. The Halo 2 version for the PC itself takes up 8GB of hard disk space.. I need a new desktop
Vista is also apparently more secure than previous versions of Windows.. Lets hope so!

XP is how old? Of course every thing is computable...

Vista will be a lot better after SP1.

Most games these days, vista or not take up around 10 Gigabytes.

Vista uses a lot of RAM, just like XP did when it was first released.

I will be switching to Vista probably on my PC around July. Pirated premium edition tho.

You people do realize that OS's are intended to last 3-7 years? XP is going on 7.

Remember when XP came out? I'm sure most of you don't but back then it's 128MB Minimum of RAM had a lot of people doing the same thing about Vista today. They claimed it was a resource hog too and you can't blame them, Windows 2k was perhaps one of the best OS's ever created, it would be hard to switch.

Now look at XP, it's blazing fast because of that grace period that allowed hardware to change, update, and adapt. When OS's are made, it's very rare, if ever, that they send them to hardware manufacturers years before it comes out. Oddly enough, years are needed to properly bring a solution to the OS. And you can't expect hardware manufacturers to go ahead and build these solutions before it comes out, that's a very risky investment.

DDR3 is out, RAM speeds are higher than ever, processors the same. Give it a few years and everyone will be blazing on Vista.

I also voted for XP. I don't like Vista because most of it's features just seem like a lot of bullshit to me. XP works just fine for what I need it for and I don't want or need it to look flashy or anything like that. I'd much rather be using linux but I can't get it to work no matter what I do. So I guess I'm stuck with Microsoft crap for awhile until I figure that out.
