I recently over the corse of several weeks decided to make a rocket launcher.
I made it out of materials most people are able to find in their garage. The design is very flaky but never the less this is a dangous weapon with the right rocket (im still working on the design of my roxz). Materials: -4 inch Black abs pipe (You can change the diameter it realy doesn't matter) -A block of wood( for a hand grip find the diameter thats right for you. -14 gage wire -Plastic case or any type of case to house the batteries and the switch ( The plastic boxes they sell at radio shack are ideal.) -batteries ( i used 2 nine volts) -on/off switch (find this at radio shack) -push button switch (again radio shack) -hose clamps -battery holder ( for the type of battery your using or you can just solder wires to them) -End cap for pipe ( i used this http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k2...20-07_2054.jpg i dunno wtf the connectors are i just abs glued them together) tools: -Drill -solderign iron -and idk im dazedddd ound:Making: ill write a tut when im not plastered but heres pics (ill change shit in the morning) http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k2..._I/batpack.jpg http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k2...titled-1-3.jpg |

I'm sorry but the design with the end cap looks very dangerous as the pressure will build up and either one of two things happens:
A) Pressure builds and rocket doesn't leave the launcher assembly quick enough to make it explode, blow out the end cap, or cause severe recoil while the rocket leaves (causing dangerous and possible uncontrollable aim) B) Everything goes well and the gas escapes through the spaces defined between the fins and such in the back of the rocket (if I am thinking of the right design) and the rocket leaves. This solution still has problems of burning a hole into the endcap ruining the wiring, and/or severe recoil. I would suggest a rocket launching assembly requiring no endcap and some other way of electrical circuitry. I have a good design in mind, but I have to get on homework and such as I am still a teenager (damn high school, ). I will supply plans and schematics sometime if I can find the right time and a good amount of it too.Thank you, Cobra
