Ok, a mate of mine is getting a shotgun, and he wants a good one.. He had his eye on a Remington shotgun, which cost 500 euro, but it was too light.. Has anyone an opinion as to what shotgun to get? He's looking to spend about 500 euro, 600 being the absolute limit.
Thanks!

Well what does he want it for? Game or Clays? Both, What type of experience does he have? Lanber are a nice gun make not too expensive but they make good guns, I have a nice Lanber 12G Over and Under, Does he prefer Side by Side or Over and Under?

A friend of his. You can get a shotgun at 16. Your mate will have big problems with the cops but tell him to keep with it and he is within his rights, Maybe join the NARGC

Aye. He needs to get it in his fathers name, etc, to keep things simple. He will have to keep it in his dads house (mother hates guns), but for that reason, he can't have his own name on it. He just needs to have legal permission..
He'll probably be using it mostly for clays. He has no major experience before this.

Ok well some things, He should license it in his own name it is the law he is within his rights to do it. Ok then tell him to goto a clay range and have a go allot of them are also gun dealers and the best thing to do is go into the shop and ask explain the situation they will let you put a few guns up to his shoulder and he should be able to get a feel from that.
