Default duct tape bracer

A bracer is a protective cilindrical shaped piece of armor, tat goes around your lower a m(right above your wrist) A bracer on your left arm can be extremely usefull when blocking incoming attacks, both from hands, feet or other light and blunt weapons. They are easy to make with a (pair of) sock(s)

First get a sock, and cut of the end, so you have a wool cylinder.
slip this over your arm. You can use two, or even more socks, I'd stick to one, and just add some fabric on the side that will be on the upper side of your arm
next, begin to wrap sevral layers of duct tape around it.
You can put stuff in between the tape on the side that will be on the upper side of your arm, like cardboard, pieces of sheet metal (file the edges, you don't want them to be sharp) etc...
keep wrapping it in tape untill you've reached a desired length.

Thicker bracers wil absorb more damage, thinner ones are easier to conceal, and lighter to wear => your punch will be faster.
Note that the bracer will make a punch land harder => more shock, harder to recover if you miss.

Now, take a pair of scissors, and cut the ring trough lengthwise (atch out for you bloodvessels) If you can't take it off, you'll have to cut some off on both sides. Drill holes alon the edges of your bracer for a lace/lacing, or if you have velcro, you can use that.

I used my old one only for sparring, practicing blocking kicks and punches for hours really hurts the next day (+safety of course), I never used it in an actual fight.

that old one I trew out btw, so no pics

but I'll make a new one, and post pics, may take a while (exams, homework, books reports, ... )
