Western is with kicks to the head. Not all Muai Thai has elbows either, That is generally reserved for as you progress through the ranks. Please capitalize your sentences.

i maybe stand corrected on western kb,but i also fought muay Thai for four years two of those professionally where from day one my kru taught me to attack with elbows.as for ranks, are they the same as sashes? every guy i talk to about muay thai asks "what sash are you?" my kru and i just look at each other!!. fighters can wear them round their arms during fights but apart from that.......?.mind you though when i moved back to carlisle from taunton i tried a few new thai gyms and each kru had their own structure, philosophy,training and fighting regimes.so everyones got different ideas or maybe its just horses for courses!.cheers.

Is a line from the stephen king movie the stand. In it there is a character who is a pyro, and when it comes time to make a stand/choose sides, the devil chooses this character to be on his side, telling him I will put you beside me and I will set you to burn!!
The character's name is Trash can man.
If you haven't seen the stand it is a great movie though it is 6 hours long.

What I was saying is amateurs cannot fight with elbows generally I think.
