I Wouldnt think the kick the be the best method of attack at all tbh Puts you far to much off balance is much easier for the opposition to comprehend and assume control of you.
Cool little article though.

I think it depends on how the kick is used, A nice low kick if done right will usualy end the confrontation.

Fitness is useful to an extent, but really you have to know how to fight. The best way to learn how to fight? Get in lots of fights.

Getting into streetfights in one way to go about that, but personally, I'd recommend getting into a (good) combat sport. A few friends do Thai boxing and they're pretty beastly. It even kicks boxing's ass, because a boxer isn't going to expect a kick in the head.

Ah i take that back. I agree 'Low' kicks, or kneeing the person can indeed be useful.
if the fight turns into more of a wrestle, arm and wrist locks become incredibly useful..

street fighting, body conditioning, pressure points, uummm. one word for you guys, .adrenaline!. That chemical will carry you through anything and i do mean anything. I personally have been in quite a few fights, the streets, the ring and the forces.my philosophy is "dont think, just do" adrenaline will do the rest for you and if you have to bite someones nose/ear off then so be it. the ones that baulk at this are usually the ones lying on the floor in their own blood and piss.dont judge me on this guys i dont make the rules, its just the crazy fucked up world we live in.one last thing,if you can walk away then do.After all it is a mugs game.

Agreed this thread isn't talking about fighting in the ring it's street fighting, and that meens anything goes.
Cebs I can't match your record but I have done a couple of years in prison and that is where I learnt, it's not the size of the man in the fight that matters it's the size of the fight in the man.
In other words, attack and don't stop. As Cebs said adrenaline, just go hard and don't stop and don't hesitate.
In a street fight I don't give a fuck if I have to fight dirty, i've ended more than 1 fight by grabbing the guys hair,(long hair in a fight is a big disadvantage) pulling his head back and smashing them in the throat.
