I missed the part about it being in august.. I think I would have to say cycle as well, but I'm fat so I hate walking..

I am relativly fit and so I enjoy a good hike,I hate cycling also!!

Mm i'd prefer to walk.. With cycling you havta stick to the roads etc., you dont get the same isolatedness feeling. which is what I'd find so thrilling about it.
Hunter: I'd say we should set a date soon, make out a route etc. This wont happen if its not organised.
